Sumda Chung gompa

Based on a detailed measurement of the Sumda Chung Gompa and especially of the ceiling photos of the lacunars and beams were
attached on the architectural plan by photomontage.
Therefore the photos of the lacunars and beams were transformed perspectively by a computer-assisted procedure – the result is an
overall impression of the ceiling.
This overall view of the ceiling gives information about the style and arrangement of the different patterns and gives therewith evidence
e.g. to determinate their origin or to draw parallels to other buildings of the same period.
Beside this a partly destruction of the temple must be notified based on the dimension and the progress of the demolition of the paintings and the
construction caused by sliding land from the slope.
A clear coherence between the original or replaced ceiling elements and the different murals can be drawn.
